Prime Bank Nursing Institute’s First Fresher’s Installation and Candle Lighting Ceremony
Prime Bank Nursing Institute (PBNI) organised its first Fresher’s Installation and Candle Lighting Ceremony on 25 April 2015 in the institute’s premises. The programme was chaired by Prime Bank Ltd.’s Chairman, Mr. Azam J. Chowdhury and the Special Guest was Mrs. Suraya Begum, Registrar, Bangladesh Nursing Council. Scholarships to deserving nursing students were awarded by Prime Bank Foundations Chairman, Mr. Nader Khan. A candle lighting and oath taking ceremony also took place along with a cultural programme and the new students received their ID cards from Mr. Azam J. Chowdhury. After the programme, the dignitaries were given a tour of the institute and shown the labs and facilities which PBNI provides its students.
Visit by Dr. Barbara Parfitt
Dr. Barbara Parfitt is an expert on nursing education with over 50 years of experience. She recently visited Bangladesh for a few days to attend the graduation ceremony of Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing. During her stay in Dhaka, she also visited Prime Bank Nursing Institute as a guest lecturer on International Standards for the Professional Nurse. At the same time, she tried to explore further opportunities of working together.
