Prime Bank Eye Hospital (PBEH) Signed MOU with BRAC
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the conference room of BRAC on June 20, 2017 (Tuesday). The programme was represented by BRAC, authorized representative, (Dr. Kaosar Afsana, Director, Health Nutrition and Population Programme (hereinafter referred to as HNPP-BRAC) and Prime Bank Foundation, authorized representative, (Dr. Iqbal Anwar, Chief Executive Officer, (hereinafter referred to as Prime Bank Eye Hospital, PBEH-PBF). The broader goal is Elimination of avoidable blindness from Bangladesh by 2020, Vision Bangladesh Project Phase II for the period of 01 January 2017 to 31 December 2020.
Prime Bank Eye Hospital (PBEH) Signed MOU with Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP)
Prime Bank Eye Hospital (PBEH) has signed a MOU with Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) recently at DMP Head Quarter. In presence of the DMP Commissioner Md. Assaduzzaman Mia, BPM (Bar), PPM and Managing Director & CEO of Prime Bank Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury the agreement was signed by CEO of Prime Bank Foundation, Dr. Iqbal Anwar and DC (HQ & Admin) of DMP Mohd. Ashrafuzzaman on behalf of their respective organizations. Other high officials of both organizations were also present during the signing ceremony. Under this agreement, all member of DMP, their spouse, Children & parents will get eye services from Prime Bank Eye Hospital at a discount rate.
Primary Healthcare and Eye-care Centre for Ijtema Participants
As part of Prime Bank Eye Hospitals outreach programme, a six-member medical team participated in setting up a Primary Healthcare and Eye-care Centre for the participants of this years Ijtema who came to Tongi, Gazipur. This initiative was carried out for two days from January 15-16, 2016 and a huge number of patients availed the services provided. More than 500 patients were examined out of which 74 were identified for surgery and many more were prescribed spectacles.
Sensitisation Workshop &Launching of Vision Centre in Narayanhat, Fatikchhari, Chittagong
Prime Bank Eye Hospital arranged a Senstisation Workshop for the local people of in Narayanhat, Fatikchhari, Chittagong, followed by the formal launching of our Vision Centre. The programme was attended by Mr. Nader Khan,Chairman of Prime Bank Foundation and Director of Prime Bank Ltd. as the Chief Guest and Dr. Iqbal Anwar, CEO of Prime Bank Foundation as the Special Guest. Mr. Abu Jafor Mahmud, Upazila Parishad Chairman of Narayanhat, presided over the workshop. The sensitization workshop included a comprehensive powerpoint presentation and documentary to help the audience understand the importance of eyecare as well as speeches by the guests who were present. Patients who benefitted from previous eye camps in the area also shared their positive experiences.

The Vision Centre will be using telemedicine as a medium of communication with eye specialists at the base hospital (Prime Bank Eye Hospital). This initiative hopes to reach people in remote areas and provide them with quality eyecare while utilising the internet for fast and effective communication and cure, thereby fulfilling one of the core objectives of Prime Bank Eye Hospital to make eyecare more accessible.

Free Eye Camp at Chilmari, Kurigram

Prime Bank Eye Hospital organised a free eye camp at Chilmari, Kurigram with financial support from Prime Bank Limited on 1 December, 2014 where His Excellency Mr. Lee Yun Young, South Korea s Ambassador to Bangladesh, was present as the Chief Guest. Also present as special guests were Madam Kim Bok Hee, Resident Representative of KOICA, Bangladesh and Mr. Ashraf ud Doula, Former Secretary Ambassador, Bangladesh. Mr. Tabibur Rahman, the Upazilla Nirbahi Officer of Chilmari presided over the inaugural ceremony.

The day long program provided free eye care service and medicines to the needy. Patients with eye cataracts were identified and transported to the Prime Bank Eye Hospital in Dhaka for free surgeries after which they were safely returned back to Chilmari- all free of any cost. A total of 1352 patients were examined of which 239 were identified for surgery.

Prime Bank Eye Hospital arranged an awareness building program to involve the religions leaders in Prime Bank Eye Hospital
Prime Bank Eye Hospital has taken a commendable and unusual initiative to raise awareness about the hospitals eye care services. By sensitizing different religious leaders and representatives of the community, Prime Bank Eye Hospital hopes to raise awareness regarding common eye diseases which are easily curable but remain undetected. Open discussions were held between the leaders and the facilitators of the program to clear any misconceptions on common eye diseases.
Inaugurated on January 21st, 2012
Prime Bank Eye Hospital (PBEH) was launched on January 21, 2012. The honourable Governor, Bangladesh Bank was present as the Chief Guest of the inauguration ceremony. The honourable Board of Directors, Prime Bank Limited (PBL), Senior Executive, PBL & Country s so many distinguish guest were present in that happy moment.
